Kyusu, wood-fired unglazed nanban with a vermilion red band and kiln-change flashing, thrown in a rounded jar form (窯変焼〆南蛮朱帯茶注/カメ型)

Fired unglazed in the nanban manner: the iron-rich clay takes its mottled colour from flame and ash alone, wrapped with a band of bright vermilion (shu) around the body.

"Ceramesh" Ceramic filter. Comes with the artist's original paulownia (kiri) wooden box.

ca. 280ml
