A yunomi is the tall Japanese tea cup without a handle, 150 to 250 ml, held with both hands because the tea inside is brewed at 70 to 80 °C and never scalds. It is the cup for the second and third steeping of a sencha, for hojicha and for the bancha that runs through a Japanese working day. This is a small row: the Hagi yunomi (200 ml, 39 to 45 euros) come in the blue ao hagi glaze, and Daigo Kikuchi's blown glass tumblers from Toyama (100 to 250 ml, 39 to 49 euros) do the same job for cold brew and iced tea in summer. The mugs with a handle are the exception in a collection built around handle-less cups, and only a few pass through here each year.

The smaller gongfu and gyokuro cups are under cups, guinomi and sakazuki, and the matcha bowls under chawan and bowls.
