Vlasta is a sculptor, woodworker, and instrument maker whose practice is rooted in reverence for material. Working mostly from the forests of Southern Bohemia, he transforms locally sourced wood into elegant, functional tea tools—trays, scoops, and carved vessels that honor both the tree and the tea.
(Central Bohemia, Czech Republic)
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a vibrant city known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and cultural heritage. With a blend of medieval, Gothic, and Baroque buildings, it’s a city of timeless charm. Prague also has a growing tea culture, with a variety of tea houses offering both traditional and modern tea experiences. Czech tea culture is deeply rooted in the tradition of tea drinking, and the city is home to many places where people enjoy high-quality teas.

The person behind UNEARTHED
For over 15 years I have been collecting ceramics and drinking tea very seriously. Now I am funnelling all of that experience into finding and curating great wares and tea.
We only sell what I personally like a lot, and that includes the tea I drink myself every day. I choose every maker. I taste every tea before it goes into the shop. I travel to Japan and China to meet the people who make what we sell.
Until now the entire endeavour is in my hands from end to end: sourcing, logistics, photography, education, labelling and packing your parcels.
Our gallery, studio, and tea space are a hub for experiencing and sharing the art of ceramics and tea.
Similar to the concept of “Utsuwa-galleries” in Japan, we are holding monthly exhibitions of unique ceramicists from Japan, China and Europe.
We also regularly host Workshops and Tea Experiences, and we supply cafés and shops with matcha and equipment at wholesale prices.
Tastes lovely with a splash of oat milk
Very flowery and mild. This was my first Ali Shan High Mountain Tea. I’m very pleased with quality & taste.
A little difficult to clean but a true joy to use.
