A focused tasting of fresh 2026 Chinese green teas, brewed in glass. This session closes the Light and Shadow II glass exhibition and pairs the two directly: the teas are selected to show how glass brings out clarity of colour and aroma, and how we can use pitcher brewing for many Chinese green teas.
What to expect:
- 4 teas from different regions and gardens, all 2026 spring harvest
- focus: HuangShan MaoFeng and BiLuoChun (Suzhou)
- Side-by-side comparison brewed in selected glass vessels from the exhibition
- Background on origins and harvest conditions
- Small group of maximum 8 participants

Hosted by Marcel Karcher
His passion for tea led him across continents: a journey that started with selling tea online eventually led to a 9-month sabbatical through India, China and Taiwan, exploring tea at its source. It was during this journey that he deepened his appreciation not just for the leaf, but for the vessels, tools, and stories that surround it.
