Miyazaki Wakocha Izumi (50g)
A small batch Wakocha (Japanese Black Tea) from Miyazaki prefecture, made by Takuya Yokoyama at Issin-En. Izumi's assamica heritage makes it one of the cultivars most naturally suited to black tea production, and this particular batch was selected from over 20 samples for its exceptional brightness. Floral and fruity with citrus and stone fruit, a hint of muscatel, and mineral depth on the finish. The light body and clean mouthfeel bridge Japanese tea sensibility with the complexity of a fine oolong.
