Fresh green teas from the villages of Huang Shan and Taihu Lake — sourced by someone who moved to China to learn, and stayed to find the teas worth sharing.
The teas you buy from me may not be your favourite teas, but they will show you a flavour profile you haven't seen before.
The Sweetest Dew is Dylan's sourcing project — started not by an industry expert, but by someone who came to China to learn about tea and gradually built a practice out of what he found interesting. His early sourcing trips took him across distant regions without much success. The shift came when he narrowed his focus to the Huang Shan corridor, where years of returning to the same villages and producers has given him a ground-level familiarity with how the tea changes between picking dates, processing approaches, and micro-locations.
His selection criteria are straightforward: teas that show you something you haven't tasted before, or teas that offer real value at their price. He documents the sourcing process — including failed trips and open questions — on YouTube and Instagram, prioritising transparency over expertise.
The Sweetest Dew first appeared at UNEARTHED as tea sponsor for the Light and Shadow glass exhibition in May 2024 — three teas, offered as samples alongside glass ware orders. The 2026 range is the full debut.
Our gallery, studio, and tea space are a hub for experiencing and sharing the art of ceramics and tea.
Similar to the concept of “Utsuwa-galleries” in Japan, we are holding monthly exhibitions of unique ceramicists from Japan, China and Europe.
We also regularly host Workshops and Tea Experiences.
Aromatisch, süßlich, vollmundig über drei Aufgüsse.
Sehr schmackhaft im empfohlenen Einmalaufguss.
This matcha has small lumps but is really gentle.
I can't wait to try meiju.
Uneven, subtle glaze. The dented spots are particulary cool, since they adjust the cup very much to the hand. The combination of the white glaze with unglazed red clay parts reminds me positevly of 1970s aestetics.
We love the weight, the feel, the size - and how beautifully the katakuchi lends itself to pouring cool liquids as well as brewing hot tea...
My favorite tea 💚 you can drink in cold brew, warm infusion or sparkling tea
