Hoshino Experimental Kōshun Sencha (50g)
Oxidised Kōshun Sencha from Hoshino village, Yame, Fukuoka, Japan
This experimental Sencha is a rare, lightly oxidised Japanese sencha that reveals rounder and deeper aromas similar to withered Senchas. Produced in Hoshino by our award-winning Gyokuro farmer it is made from the unique Koshun cultivar. But this version evokes very interesting tasting notes of unripe pear, beans and rich flowers. It has a strong mouthfeel reminiscent of certain high-mountain oolongs. It is a unique, warm and slightly sour yet mouthwatering tea, a crossover of Japanese tradition and unexpected aromas.
