Marukyu Koyamaen is one of the most esteemed and historic tea producers in Uji, Kyoto—Japan’s heartland of high-quality matcha. As an authorised reseller of Markukyu Koyamaen all the blends we off (Soju, Meiju, Oju) are specifically blended for the European Union and hence are especially low in pesticide residues.
Founded in the Genroku era (late 1600s), Marukyu Koyamaen began as a tea grower and gradually became one of Uji’s leading matcha producers. Over generations, the Koyama family has preserved and refined traditional cultivation and processing methods, earning trust from tea schools and practitioners across Japan.
"Making teas with quality as the highest priority."

Their teas are a staple in the Japanese tea ceremony and are favoured by tea schools and connoisseurs alike, embodying the spirit of Uji’s centuries-old tea culture. Many of Japan’s most respected tea masters rely on Marukyu Koyamaen’s matcha for its consistency, depth, and refinement. The company offers a wide range of ceremonial and culinary grades, carefully crafted to suit both traditional rituals and modern applications.

1 reviewOur gallery, studio, and tea space are a hub for experiencing and sharing the art of ceramics and tea.
Similar to the concept of “Utsuwa-galleries” in Japan, we are holding monthly exhibitions of unique ceramicists from Japan, China and Europe.
We also regularly host Workshops and Tea Experiences.
Super!
