Young silversmith based in Jingdezhen, known for her fine silver and tin teaware that bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Her studio, 「良药局 – Apothecary of Remedies」, is guided by the idea 「寄好物为良药」— offering beautiful things as good medicine.
“Metal carries warmth when shaped by hand — it records every gesture of the process.”
Duan Aiqin is part of a new generation of artisans redefining the boundaries of Jingdezhen craft. Rooted in traditional silver- and tin-smithing, her practice explores the tactile dialogue between metal and tea. Her pieces — ranging from finely hammered silver teapots and tea-needles to tin saucers and scoops — are both functional and sculptural, merging precision with a distinct sense of individuality.
Our gallery, studio, and tea space are a hub for experiencing and sharing the art of ceramics and tea.
Similar to the concept of “Utsuwa-galleries” in Japan, we are holding monthly exhibitions of unique ceramicists from Japan, China and Europe.
We also regularly hosting Workshops and Tea Experiences.
