Korean Tea Tasting and Tea Ceremony with Jun and Po Feb 27th

Tea Tasting on Thursday February 27th 5pm-6:30pm and 6:30pm-8pm

Dojae Myung Cha has been producing traditional tea in Hadong (the birthplace of Korean tea) since 1992 and is now continuing the family business into its second generation. They are crafting handmade teas using organic tea leaves harvested from wild tea trees. 

Through this tea ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to learn about Korean tea, especially the history of Hadong tea and the traditional methods of tea production. 

You will also experience the unique characteristics of Korea’s traditional Dukeum (pan-fried tea) .

We will taste:

  • green tea

  • medicinal black tea

  • white tea

all directly from the producer. The tasing/ceremony is limited to 6 participants.

Jun is the third generation of a family dedicated to handcrafted Korean tea in Hadong, the birthplace of Korean tea. He has participated in various domestic events, lectured for the Pennsylvania State University Tea Club, and participated in numerous exhibitions in Hong Kong, the United States and other countries. His mission is to promote Korea's traditional tea culture both domestically and internationally.

Po is a tea curator who loves tea and tea ceramics and is currently studying tea culture. After enjoying the tea lifestyle in China, he fell in love with the charm of Korean tea and handicrafts. He is currently involved in planning tea-related events, tea tours, tea meetings and tea ceramics exhibitions.
